Kalleward Group was selected by Stryker Corporation during the critical Design Development phase to act as Construction Manager and Constructor for a new manufacturing and office facility for the Medical Division. As design was completed and a site selected Kalleward provided pre-construction budgeting, value engineering and scheduling as a member of the project team. The final design provided 320,000 square feet of manufacturing, distribution, and support facilities and 155,000 square feet of office facilities on an 80 acre site in the city of Portage. Construction of the new facility and extensive site development started in July 2004. The manufacturing, support and services facilities and the site work were completed in August 2005; completion of the office area was in January 2006. The attractive facility provides valuable space to meet Stryker’s need for continuing growth.
